Painting on the beach
St. Pete Beach is hard on paint. Homes and buildings here sit between the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay, so they take salt air, wind-driven rain and full sun every day. Paint that would last years inland can chalk, fade and peel much sooner here, especially on Gulf-facing walls and on metal railings and doors.

That is why our beach work is mostly about prep. We pressure wash to remove salt and chalk, repair stucco cracks, replace failed caulk, clean and prime rusted metal, and use premium-grade exterior products suited to coastal exposure. In Pass-a-Grille, many homes are older cottages with wood siding and trim that need scraping and priming before finish coats.
